Homeschool Spanish Academy was founded by Ron Fortin, who, after quitting his IT consulting job, accepted a new job in Guatemala as the principal of a school for impoverished kids. During his time in Guatemala - while running his school during the day - he saw an opportunity to provide high quality native speaking Spanish instruction to friends and relatives with homeschool students and decided to pursue this venture. A big believer in stewardship, Ron continues to help impoverished children, their families, and local communities in Guatemala.
